What does this mean for the long-term table of organization and equipment for the Russian military? Not sure, but the weakness of Russian motorized rifle formations has made this change a necessity. I would assume VDV and naval infantry units will be even better armed afterwards. — PolitiTweet.org

@Blake_Allen13 I don't know the exact figure, but they are still producing T-90M, T-72B3M, and T-80BVM (though the latter two have different sights now). Probably enough for assault units, but not enough for the entire force. — PolitiTweet.org

This is an issue for Ukraine, too. They also rely on mobilized soldiers and don't have the opportunity to have entire battalions/brigades go through training evolutions. I would assume Ukraine will also provide their best units with the best equipment for the future offensives. — PolitiTweet.org
