Not sure about unprecedented. Russia did not have air supremacy during the fighting in the Donbas and achieved some gains, and I'm pretty sure Ukrainian tactical aviation is active in the south. Isn't that why they've been destroying Russian air defenses with HARM missiles? — PolitiTweet.org
