Zhidko left his position at the Main Military-Political Directorate weeks or months ago, so this does not mean he isn't the commander of Russian forces in Ukraine. Deputy Defense Ministers are not supposed to command troops, and he only gave up command of the VVO in November. — PolitiTweet.org
