Good question: The “No Impairment of Contract” Clause (Art. I, § 10) doesn’t apply to the Federal Government, only to the States. And a state moratorium akin to this was upheld by SCOTUS in Home Bldg & Loan v. Blaisdell (1934), which everyone agrees remains good law today. — PolitiTweet.org
