Yesterday, the Nondebtor Release Prohibition Act, authored by me and @RepMaloney, passed @HouseJudiciary. The bankruptcy system should work for everyone, but often it favors corporations & the wealthy. This bill would stop corporations from using bankruptcy to avoid liability. — PolitiTweet.org

It is not just the Sackler’s and their accomplices who are abusing the bankruptcy system. Companies like Johnson & Johnson have passed off their debts using the bankruptcy system and avoided liability for the cancer causing asbestos found in talcum powder. This must end here. — PolitiTweet.org
