Senate doesn’t come back til Jan. 19 so McConnell would have to bring the Senate back, hold a trial and a vote before then. There’s very little chance of that happening so Sasse may not get a chance to vote to convict. Last year he voted to acquit in the last impeachment trial — PolitiTweet.org
