Until very recently abortion was highly unpopular. (Even now outside of first trimester a majority oppose.) Hence why Democrats did not use their majority to codify Roe v Wade. They’d have paid for it via losing in a democratic election. Anyone NOT saying this is actively lying. — PolitiTweet.org
