Caffeine and nicotine have 0 impact on my resting heart rate. Alcohol spikes it. (I logged all these behaviors in the Whoop.) In fact a cigar smoked before 10 am leads to a 1% increase in recovery. But a cigar before bedtime can mess it up a bit. Anytime before 4 pm is fine — PolitiTweet.org
