Because of the Jones Act, most US diesel from Houston cannot travel by ship to Boston. Instead, Houston diesel must be shipped to some other country (e.g., South Korea) and Boston must get any shipped oil from some other country (e.g., Russia). This is bizarrely inefficient. — PolitiTweet.org
