@imillhiser It matters in terms of ideological and philosophical accuracy -- they are real, distinct traditions. A multi-party system would politicize people to care more (see Labour vs Lib Dems in UK, or SPD vs FDP in Germany). I'm not sure it matters a whole lot to many American voters. — PolitiTweet.org
