2/ Normally a defendant would challenge the change of venue to avoid what Manafort and Gates would likely presume were less friendly (to them) DC jurors. (Being in two venues at once could also cost more money.) I think Gates waived venue because he doesn't intend to go to trial. — PolitiTweet.org
