Federal crimes were committed in both jurisdictions, so my take is that he could be prosecuted in either. I would assume DOJ would choose DC for a plethora of reasons—including that Trump’s trial would present the thorniest security issues in the history of our justice system. — PolitiTweet.org

I also think that strategically it makes sense for DOJ to bring the case in DC as a way of emphasizing that Trump’s course of criminal conduct truly began *there*. Otherwise, they bolster the false narrative that it was merely Trump’s *recalcitrance in Florida* that was criminal. — PolitiTweet.org
