PS/ And yes, I’ve known judges to bluster in this way—trying to scare the defendant straight by telling them how lucky they are that certain options were taken out of the hands of the court—but this just keeps happening in the January 6 cases, so it seems a trend, not a strategy. — PolitiTweet.org
