I speak enough Spanish that on rare occasion I did non-emergency in-court translation work in the 2000s. I wouldn’t have been able to use this word in that work without literally whitewashing Spanish—using a white academic term that can’t be properly translated. That’s insulting. — PolitiTweet.org
