@podiatristdon 💯 remember the NHC track had landfall in Tampa Bay then Sarasota/Venice like 24 hours beforehand. Yes there were evacuation orders for that whole area but it is understandable that people in Fort Myers decided to stay thinking that the worst of the storm wouldn’t hit there. — PolitiTweet.org
