@karol As in there’s no law saying the leader of the biggest coalition partner HAS to become the PM but it would be very weird if she wasn’t. Theoretically, it’s possible for the coalition parties to settle on a “compromise” candidate as PM but that isn’t likely in Italy for reasons — PolitiTweet.org

@karol In seriousness from what I understand of Italian politics (very little though I lived there for a year) they have many parties, none w/ majority, but Giorgia & others formed a coalition to win. Her party is the biggest in coalition so logically she SHOULD be PM but isn’t required — PolitiTweet.org
