If 60 or so Republicans voted for the bipartisan bill the Democratic left would lose leverage, the bill would pass, and Rs could then press moderate Ds to join in blocking reconciliation in the House. But that would require the GOP to care about policy instead of pure opposition. — PolitiTweet.org
