If these fires merge it will create even more catastrophic conditions on the ground and will require the Forest Service to redouble its efforts to put them out. We're supporting them all the way. In the meantime, be vigilant, be safe, and take the advice of local authorities. — PolitiTweet.org

Just briefed by fire officials in Clackamas County where I asked them about the potential of the Beachie Creek and Riverside fires merging. Currently these are two of the biggest fires burning in our state. Bottom line from officials: there is a very real risk of this happening. — PolitiTweet.org
