Giving his team a pep talk, he said “Guys, stick together. I need everybody to stay on the plantation.” Horrible analogy. Mistake to use that word. He knows it. And apologized. He didn’t mean to offend. Isn’t this the kind of honest mistake we forgive? And not “cancel” him for? — PolitiTweet.org

I made a mistake and I own it. Mistakes come with consequences, and I accept and agree with the suspension.

And by the way, yes, he was suspended, and a suspension was warranted. When I say that Coach McDermott shouldn’t be “canceled,” I mean he shouldn’t be fired for making an honest mistake, apologizing for that mistake, and learning from it. That’s what I mean by forgiveness. — PolitiTweet.org
