For anyone confused: Trump’s exec order did not order 10 years in prison for anyone. It just told the govt. to fully prosecute people arrested for damaging monuments/federal property. 10 years is an existing *max* sentence judges can choose, or not. They can also choose a fine. — PolitiTweet.org

Yes, and all the EO said was that the Department of Justice should make a priority of fully enforcing existing laws against damage to monuments and federal property. There are no new sentences in the EO, there is no automatic 10 years for anything. — PolitiTweet.org
