If nothing else, I'd hope the Cantrell administration would see that a big vibrant popup and food truck community in New Orleans could be a lucrative tourism draw. Foodies love that sort of thing, and anything that screams "authenticity" on instagram. So its a win win — PolitiTweet.org

In Mexico, for instance, there's an entire industry based around taco tours, where locals "in the know" take people to their favorite taco shops and carts. We already have food based tourism and similar tours here, so encouraging this by helping small operators is a no brainer — PolitiTweet.org
