Exactly. It is not clear to me that the June/July protests helped Biden. Perhaps they hurt him. But the people who organized and attended them (and came up with abolish/defund the police as a goal) were making that case as their preferred policy, not acting electorally. — PolitiTweet.org

If Spanberger and Clyburn are implying that no House/Senate Dem should call for abolishing/defunding the police, that's a logical position. Being a Dem in Congress means you are part of a team. If they are implying no activist should that in any election year, that's different. — PolitiTweet.org
