But it also didn’t do things you couldn’t do anywhere else. ESPN+ isn’t ESPN either, but it offers exclusive live sports some people value a lot. CNN+ had fine programming (again, I got to help make some) but it was the kind of stuff you can find lots of other places as well. RIP — PolitiTweet.org

Slightly longer answer: CNN+ was a tweener product, which old media specializes in and almost never works. It didn’t do the thing CNN does - 24/7 live news - because its owner didn’t want to compete with CNN. — PolitiTweet.org
