@akruglov Sure. I went to work at Forbes in 1997 and the only way to get on the internet then was to go to a computer in the library (!). But it was easy to understand why and how you could use the internet at the time, and what it could be eventually. — PolitiTweet.org

@akruglov Yup. And I read @GreatDismal in high school (and saw Tron when I was even younger) so “the internet” was something I could grok easily. But, again: A normal person could use the internet in the mid-90s and get immediate benefit. Not analogous to today. — PolitiTweet.org
