btw finally played with apple news plus and it's a fine service to browse stuff you don't normally read, and/or get to articles you'd like to read but have a paywall (eg Wired). It is not a substitute for stuff you want to consume deeply. — PolitiTweet.org

Which is by design. And it also means WSJ subs are unlikely to swap out their expensive subs for cheap ones - or that if they do, they'll be disappointed. Not sure how that will play for a Wired or a New Yorker, etc though. Odds that it could cannibalize their subs seems higher. — PolitiTweet.org
