To clarify bc ppl keep asking: There was an off-duty cop, hired by @kroger as security, standing right next to us during this convo. The law here requires masks to be worn in public. It's also Kroger's store policy. There are signs on the door. He just didn't care. — PolitiTweet.org

The right thing to do would be to tell them they cannot check out and must leave for threatening another customer, and aren't allowed back. Even if they weren't willing to go that far, they should have said we won't ring you up without a mask. It's the law and it's store policy. — PolitiTweet.org
