@WDGoldstein As one who has covered recounts longer than I care to remember, I learned to keep the possibility open because in the case a recount changed things, it usually benefited the Democrat--the bloody Ind-8 race in '84 & WA State Gov race in '04, both in which Dems won on 3rd counts. — PolitiTweet.org
