It was not until DC v Heller in 2008 that the Supreme Court had ever made a decision to expand gun rights instead of restricting them through the regulation of our militia. That’s over 200 years post 1776 Prior to Heller- basically every ruling regulated our militia more. — PolitiTweet.org

The second amendment also says “shall not be infringed” however I would argue the gun violence caused by an unregulated militia is actually an infringement on the Second Amendment. If you are dead, you cannot practice any of your rights, including the second amendment. — PolitiTweet.org
