Republicans get only half of this story. Yes, the income tax is quite progressive (top 1% earn 22% of income but pay 43% of tax aid). But the payroll tax is quite regressive (about 13% of income, capped at about $16,000). Mix them together: a system that is a LITTLE progressive. — PolitiTweet.org
