You are incorrect. The Civil Rights movement from Reconstruction through to its Golden Age in the mid-1960s was a Republican affair that gradually picked off cooperation from Democrats. It culminated in 1965, after which Democrats seized & diverted it: the results are visible. — PolitiTweet.org
