That said, I do consider myself an environmentalist. When our fiscal situation implodes and we replace it with something new (a flat tax + UBI) we should consider a Pigouvian tax on carbon. It gives us one simple number into which to condense much environmental dispute. — PolitiTweet.org

Two versions of US temperature data for over a century. The black line is the data as it was recorded. The red is after data was “adjusted“ to create the hockey stick. At some point, though, the data stopped being “data” and became “theory” (theory about how to adjust the data). — PolitiTweet.org

As I recall at this early hour, the USA emits about 5 billion tons of carbon in a year. Imagine we tax at the source at $40/ton. $40 X 5B tons = $200B Our GDP = $20 trillion $200B/ $20T = 1% Thus countless environmental arguments, get taken care of, and reduced to that 1%. — PolitiTweet.org
