@athy_michael @errollouis I believe you’re right about Wood. I was counting since 1898 when Brooklyn merged with NY. But there’s also Ardolph Kline, the president of the Board of Aldermen, who became acting mayor in 1913 and later was elected to Congress. So I always limit this rule to “elected” mayors. — PolitiTweet.org
