@MattGlassman312 @abarber1 I've never been able to confirm this. But I recall, a 1974 California Field Poll on the upcoming elections asked voters who they backed in 1972 for president. This was just a Party ID question. But the results came back that McGovern had carried the state, which he lost 55-41%. — PolitiTweet.org
