No indication yet that the U.S. Senate will reconvene prior to January 19. Unless they do so, conviction on any House-passed articles likely won't be considered until Trump is an ex-president. This could change if Senate GOP leaders decided to change course and return sooner. — PolitiTweet.org

I'm reminded that it takes the agreement of all 100 (or 99 in this case) Senators to reconvene the Senate before Jan. 19th under the order approved on the floor before Senators left last week. That means, if @senatemajldr tried to reconvene, any Senator could block it. — PolitiTweet.org
