@DKThomp A theory I've found very compelling is that college grads have access to "achieved identity" (e.g. profession) that can easily encompass diversity, whereas nongrads default to "ascribed identity" (race, religion) and so are more drawn to ethnonationalist / us-vs-them politics — PolitiTweet.org
