@mattyglesias Attitudes toward China map pretty imperfectly onto DC’s broader ideological divides, which I think is part of what’s scrambling this. E.g. lots of liberals who start from the position that China’s policies are usually nefarious and its statements lies. So it feels like consensus. — PolitiTweet.org
