It seems to be a function of bad accounting. HBO Max has to “pay” for LT rights to the WB division for purposes of internal accounting. So by “cutting costs,” HBO Max looks more profitable internally, even though they’re hurting the synergies of the larger company as a whole. — PolitiTweet.org
