i do actually think there’s a benefit to starting with four small-ish states: voters, especially in NH/IA/SC, gave become used to demanding really access to the candidates; and each is relatively cheap to run in, which gives lesser-funded candidates a shot — PolitiTweet.org

Iowa’s status is problematic because the media showers the winner with attention and a “momentum!” narrative. Having multiple states go first would allow more candidates to claim momentum, and make each state less singularly important. — PolitiTweet.org
