Put another way: if 5 justices had signed onto Roberts' opinion instead of Alito's, then the Mississippi 15-week law would have been upheld, but it would have been upheld by modifying/weakening Roe, but refusing to overrule it. There were 5 votes, not 6, voting to overrule Roe. — PolitiTweet.org
