Today’s Senate vote 54-35 shows the absurdity of the cloture rule. Republicans didn’t even have to show up. They won with 35 votes because the rule requires 60 votes to proceed. If the rule required 41 votes to block the bill, then 6 more Republicans would’ve had to work today. — PolitiTweet.org
