Colloquially, the US is referred to as a "democracy." We have direct democracy only in state referenda. But you ignore state legislatures are "democratic" in the colloquial sense of "democracy" you seem to prefer. So how is a state legislature wielding power anti-democratic? — PolitiTweet.org
