Yes, states run by Democrats did mostly keep schools closed longer (note though that most Connecticut schools reopened the same the time Texas and Florida schools did), but schools were closed for a long time in Republican states. — PolitiTweet.org

There's also not a ton of evidence to suggest that kids are in better shape in states that opened their schools earlier. I get it that this is your theory, but both test scores and youth suicide rate are way worse in Florida and Texas (for instance) than Connecticut. — PolitiTweet.org
