@joshrogin I also think we do a lot of “America is moral because we did something” box checking. Lightly arming a handful of Syrian rebels was “something” but it made things worse. Sanctions often fall into this category too. Often they are feckless and just end up hurting non-combatants. — PolitiTweet.org
