I think it's very likely that the concessions extracted from McCarthy will not last beyond this Congress no matter the result of 2024.

@THarris1939 Rules reset every Congress (every 2 years) and the committee agreements are handshake deals. Meaning that the next Speaker, if a D or R, doesn't have to honor any of it. — PolitiTweet.org
