My (very limited) understanding of XGP deals is that Xbox pays upfront based on estimated use over time, not dissimilar to EGS/Games w Gold/PS Plus free game deals. Those onetime costs are covered by recurring monthly fees, which also cover XGP servers, staffing, mktg, etc. — PolitiTweet.org
