Nor is Johnson a serial killer. Serial killers kill out of compulsion, with significant lapses between murders, and a particular modus operandi usually in service of a paraphilia. Recidivism is likely. Johnson killed in the course of a drug dispute and has been a model prisoner. — PolitiTweet.org

With respect, the ban on executing intellectually disabled people is not all that new. There is a statutory provision built into the ADAA, under which Johnson was convicted, excluding intellectually disabled people from execution. Further, WAIS-R was normed in 1978, not 1981. — PolitiTweet.org

So much so, in fact, that a former Terre Haute prison warden, Mark Bezy, told a psychologist who evaluated Johnson that Johnson has always been polite, cordial, and easygoing — further, Bezy added, Johnson would likely do well in a gen pop prison setting, if given life. https://t.co/XiwBx2kJGD — PolitiTweet.org
