we don't treat santa as a real person, more of a symbol or whimsical, metaphorical figure, like mother earth, baby new year, father time, etc. i guess the approach is -- don't 'break it to them' that santa isn't real, just don't let them in on the fact that anyone thinks he is — PolitiTweet.org
