@NGrossman81 i think it is fair to say that lincoln held beliefs typical of a man of his age and station but what makes him Lincoln and not, say, Stephen Douglas is that Lincoln was not an ideological white supremacist and eventually oped up to the idea of a biracial democracy. — PolitiTweet.org
