@nhannahjones More like, it accomodated the status quo, whatever it was, the exception being the fugitive slave clause. That said, I also think there’s no way the Constitution could have been anti-slavery, and that the break Britain guaranteed outsized voice for American slaveholders. — PolitiTweet.org
