@jim_zhou Sorry, how does this apply to the total number of police killings? I understand how you can juke stats (for example, downgrading an assault into a disturbing the peace) but I don't think the WaPo lethal shootings database is vulnerable to that — PolitiTweet.org

@davidminpdx Sure, and heart disease kills a lot more people too. That doesn't mean murders haven't increased by a significant percentage. You and I both care about police killings too even though there are much fewer of those than murders. Why shouldn't I care about increases in murders? — PolitiTweet.org
